Bringing the Children’s Fire to the heart of global economics.
The Children’s Fire: a commitment that the well being of the children, of all species and all life, be put at the centre of decision making.
Honouring this principle commits us to listening to each other and finding common ground in creating a human presence in the world such that all life can thrive.
A collaboration between people of all creeds, genders, ethnicities & ages who dream of leaving a greater, more beautiful and sustainable world for future generations.
The Children’s Fire brings new and powerful ways of creating this today.
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single minute before starting to improve the world.”
– Anne Frank
In June this year, the G7, a group of influential economies in the world, are holding their annual meeting here in Cornwall, UK. Decisions made by the G7 impact every person alive today, and will do so for generations to come.
Indigenous people and wisdom traditions the world over have long known that for life to thrive, we need to pay attention to the fact that actions today have consequences for coming generations and the wider web of life.
We recognise this perspective with respect. And we want to heed this call to put the good of the seventh generation at the core of global decision-making, and at the heart of all we do, because, when that happens, it will benefit, restore and regenerate all life on Earth.
Understanding the consequence of our choices today, and feeling the opportunity of these times, we dream of co-creating a future for ALL our children and for the children of ALL species of life on our precious planet.
Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing
– Arundhati Roy
The world we long for is in our hands, it is within our power, and it is held in our imaginations.
